What Fords typically need in Singapore
Fords are mainstream cars with a few specific things to watch. The headline item on the Focus and Fiesta era is the PowerShift DCT, and the EcoBoost cooling system on early units. We know both:
Every 10,000 km or 12 months: engine oil, filter, fluid top-ups, brakes, tyres, battery, aircon check. See our servicing page.
PowerShift DCT is the Focus / Fiesta watch item: the dry dual-clutch unit suffers shudder and clutch wear in SG stop-go traffic. We can do clutch pack replacement, mechatronic seal kits, and full reprogramming. We tell you honestly when it is worth fixing and when it is not.
EcoBoost cooling intrusion (1.0 / 1.5): early 1.0 and 1.5 EcoBoosts saw coolant intrusion at the head and water pump. We pressure-test the cooling system at every service and quote any work required.
Every 40,000 to 60,000 km: cabin and engine air filters, spark plugs, brake fluid, automatic transmission fluid service (where applicable). Engine and gearbox page.

Almost certainly. The dry-clutch PowerShift unit is famous for shudder and clutch wear, especially in SG traffic. We diagnose with the Ford IDS scanner, quote a clutch pack replacement, mechatronic seal kit, or fluid service as appropriate, and tell you honestly whether the car is worth the investment.
1.0 and 1.5 EcoBoost use 5W-20 full synthetic to Ford WSS-M2C948-B. 2.0 EcoBoost uses 5W-30. Mustang 5.0 V8 uses 5W-30 to Ford WSS-M2C961-A1. We stock the correct grade for every Ford engine.
Yes. Ranger 2.2 and 3.2 TDCi service: oil and filter (5W-30 low-SAPS), fuel filter, DPF awareness, AdBlue where fitted, transfer case and rear differential fluids, brakes. We have the diagnostic kit.
No. Singapore’s Block Exemption Order protects you when you use Ford-spec fluids, OEM-equivalent parts, and keep stamped records.
Yes. PI Fords (Focus ST / RS, Fiesta ST, Mustang, Ranger Raptor) are welcome. Parts are available through OEM-equivalent and Ford genuine channels.
