American · Older Chevy specialists
Cruze, Aveo, Captiva, Sonic. Chevy left the SG Agent scene some years ago, but the cars are still on the road and they still deserve good servicing. We look after the Chevrolets that other workshops have forgotten.

What Chevrolets typically need in Singapore
Singapore Chevrolets are typically older cars now, which means servicing focus shifts from new-car schedules to keeping a 10 to 15-year-old car healthy. Where to focus:
Every 10,000 km or 12 months: engine oil and filter, fluid top-ups, brake inspection, tyre health, battery test, aircon check. See our servicing page.
Cooling system is the Cruze / Captiva watch item: the GM water-outlet housing and thermostat are known weep points. A coolant pressure test catches it before it becomes a headache. We replace with OEM-equivalent and proper coolant.
Every 40,000 to 60,000 km: cabin and engine air filters, spark plugs, brake fluid, automatic transmission fluid service. The 6-speed auto on the Cruze and Captiva responds well to a fluid service at 80,000 to 100,000 km. Engine and gearbox page.
Aircon: Captiva and Cruze evaporator coils develop mould in SG humidity by year 5 to 7. A proper aircon clean and cabin filter restores cooling. Aircon guide.
Tyres and battery: battery 3 years tops in SG heat for older Chevys. Tyres 50,000 to 70,000 km on Cruze. Tyres and battery guide.
Yes. We source GM parts through OEM-equivalent suppliers and parallel channels. Common service items (filters, plugs, brake pads, coolant pipes, thermostat housing) are available with short lead times.
Cruze 1.6 and 1.8 MPI use 5W-30 semi-synthetic or full synthetic. Captiva 2.4 uses 5W-30. Older Aveo can run 5W-30 or 5W-40 synthetic. We carry GM-spec dexos1 and equivalent grades.
The water-outlet housing on GM 1.6 and 1.8 engines is plastic and tends to weep around 100,000 km. We pressure-test, replace the housing, gasket, and thermostat as a set, and bleed the system properly.
Most SG Chevrolets are out of warranty given the brand exit. For any still in warranty, Singapore’s Block Exemption Order protects you when you use OEM-spec fluids and parts.
Yes. The Captiva is a regular at the workshop. We check the cooling system, transmission fluid, brakes (rear discs wear faster on the heavier 7-seater), and aircon.
