What Nissans typically need in Singapore

Honest guidance, not upsells

Most modern Nissans run CVTs, and CVT fluid maintenance is where many owners get burned. Stay on top of these:

Every 10,000 km or 6 to 12 months: engine oil, filter, fluid top-ups, brakes, tyres, battery, aircon check.

Nissan CVT fluid is non-negotiable: Nissan-spec NS-2 or NS-3 CVT fluid, replaced every 60,000 km or as the book specifies. Never use generic ATF.

Every 40,000 to 60,000 km: cabin filter, engine air filter, spark plugs, brake fluid, transfer case fluid on AWD models.

DIG-T turbo engines: Qashqai, X-Trail, Juke turbo units need clean oil and timely intervals. Skipping services here is expensive.

Aircon and battery: standard SG behaviour. See our aircon guide and tyres and battery guide.

Nissan owner questions, answered

Do you service the Nissan Leaf (EV)?

Yes. We handle the Leaf’s 12V battery, tyres, brakes, suspension, cabin filter, and high-voltage system safety inspection. For HV battery degradation diagnostics we work with a trusted EV partner.

What CVT fluid does my Nissan need?

Nissan NS-2 for most 2005-2013 CVTs, NS-3 for 2013+ models, CVT-NS5 on some newer units. We match your car’s exact spec from the VIN or handbook.

Do you service turbocharged Nissans like Qashqai DIG-T and Juke?

Yes. Turbo Nissans need clean synthetic oil and short-interval servicing, especially in SG traffic. We recommend 7,500 km intervals for heavy daily use.

Do you service parallel-import Nissans (Elgrand, Serena PI)?

Yes. PI Nissans, including Elgrand, Serena, Note e-Power, and Juke, are welcome. Parts availability is very good for PI Nissans via Japanese parallel channels.

What oil does my Nissan use?

Most modern Nissans use 0W-20 or 5W-30 full synthetic. Older cars with the HR15 or MR20 engines run 5W-30. DIG-T turbo engines use 0W-20 or 5W-30 per spec. We stock them all.
